SUTD Entrepreneurship Centre, in collaboration with Exploit Technologies(ETPL),Institute for Infocomm Research(I2R) and Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), is organizing Brewing Wearable 2013. “Brewing Wearable” is a brainstorming session to create, integrate Wearable Technologies. Wearable technology (also called wearable gadgets) is a category of technology devices that can be worn by consumers.
Selected teams with good product ideas will be able to proceed for further funding support to create products and have an opportunity to pitch to the industry, VCs and entrepreneurs for partnerships and business opportunities!
Brewing Wearable will be held from Friday, 29th November 2013 at 1:00 PM - Saturday, 30th November 2013, 8:00 PM (SGT)
29th Nov 2013: Brain Storming and Idea Generation
Day 1 will be spent brainstorming on product ideas. During Day 1, IMRE and I2R will share information about their technologies suitable for wearable technologies. Participants will then brainstorm on potential product ideas and form teams to work on the best ones. Teams will then spend the rest of the day on conceptualizing a Minimum Viable Product(MVP).
30th Nov 2013: Mock Prototyping and Judging
Day 2 will be spent developing mock prototypes of the MVP. There will be simple workshops on different methods of prototyping to assist teams in developing their mock prototype.
At the end of the day, teams are expected to present to a team of judges using their mock prototypes.The best teams will have the opportunity to apply for funding to convert their ideas into reality with ETPL.
